Site address change

  Hi, I am trying to change my domain name but it advises the site is already taken. When I’ve accessed the domain via my web browser, it confirms that the owner has closed the site. Is there any way I can use this domain – if the site is closed and not in use, can I not take it?
  The site name is adolescere.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello @doesthismakemeanadult,
  When a site is removed/deleted by the owner it’s address(domain name) is reserved and cannot be registered by anyone(not even by the owner). This is done to keep blogs from being impersonated by someone else.

  So, that is the reason why you cannot register that removed/deleted sites address. I would suggest you to choose some other address.
