Site address help

  I’m new to wordpress so I’m not very familiar with the site. I’m trying to create my first blog but I can’t seem to get the simple ‘.wordpress.com’ part. It’s giving me ‘.home.blog’ etc instead and I don’t want that. Can someone tell me what to do?

  Hey alainawyl,

  With all the websites running on the free plan, WordPress.com gets added to their URLs. TO remove it, you require a paid plan.

  Hi there, I just want to update this thread that according to this Staff reply https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/changing-web-address-to-com/#post-3167634 dothomedotblog is being suggested along with a number of other dotblog subdomains.

  If you are still trying to obtain a dotwordpressdotcom subdomain, Staff advised in this thread to try registering here https://wordpress.com/start/domains

  In addition to what @justjennifer said above, make sure you skip the first step asking what your site is about.
