    Hi there!

You haven’t done anything wrong. I see that you have registered just a domain without a WordPress.com plan. While you can register your own domain, in order to set that domain as the primary address of your WordPress.com site, a WordPress.com plan is needed.

WordPress.com plans add many features to your site, such as the ability to upload audio/video files, removal of ads, and many more. You can click here and upgrade your site to a WordPress.com plan.

After upgrading to a WordPress.com plan, you will be able to set your domain as the primary address by following these steps:

    WP
Domains » Set a Primary Address

Your primary site address is the domain that people will see in their browser’s address bar when visiting your site. It is the address you use to promote your website.

    Requirements

To use a domain as your site’s primary address, you will need:

A domain registered or connected to WordPress.com.

    Any paid WordPress.com plan.

With a paid WordPress.com plan, you can set a custom do
