site and domain name
-
Hi! I wish to upgrade to premium. May I know: 1- Can I have it like for 5 years in one time fee? If I can, do I get a discount? 2- Would that include a domain name and a built site or a site I build my own with you support? 3- If I get those, can I monetize it with ads from like from any other business I would be affiliated with? Thank you so much! Simve

Hi there,
I’d be happy to help.
1- Can I have it like for 5 years in one time fee? If I can, do I get a discount?
Sadly not, there are no monthly payments or five year payments. You are billed annually though, and you can keep auto-renewal on until you want your plan to cancel: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/faq-renewing-and-canceling/#auto-renew-off
2- Would that include a domain name and a built site or a site I build my own with you support?
1. Yes, all plans come with a custom domain name/domain credit: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
2. Every plan, including the free plan, comes with a website, and it’s up to you to decide how to use it! Therefore, it’d be you building your site with WordPress.com’s support, but you can see the excellent variety of themes here. Be aware the Premium Plan unlocks all themes for free in this directory: https://wordpress.com/themes
3. Currently, sites without a custom upgrade are limited to having to use this forum. However, with the Premium Plan, you’ll also get access to Live Chat and Email support, which means you will receive support in building your website quicker.
3- If I get those, can I monetize it with ads from like from any other business I would be affiliated with?
With the Premium Plan, you’ll automatically be accepted into WordAds if you apply, which is an advertising scheme. Bare in mind though that you don’t have control over which particular ads will appear on your website: https://wordads.co/faq
View other options on monetising your site here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/monetize-your-site/
Hope this helps, let us know if you have any further questions!

3. Currently, sites without a custom upgrade
Sorry, I meant to say “sites without a paid upgrade”.
