Site appearance (Theme?) may have crashed

    I just checked my site on two different browsers, and in each case it looks as though it is appearing in very basic html or that the theme has crashed or is corrupted. Please help. I need to have this site up for a charity fundraiser I am organizing.

    This site http://funkzone.net/ is displaying correctly in Firefox 14.

    (1) How are are connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com?

    I’m asking because the way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. Also note that the main dashboard isn’t designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers.

    (2) Exactly which browser and version of it are you using. If you don’t know click here to find out > http://whatsmyuseragent.com/
    Note: If you are running IE9 in compatibility mode then be aware that it renders as IE7 and IE7 is not supported.

    (3) Have you tried?
    clearing your browser cache and cookies > http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
    using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
    updating the browser to the latest stable version (not a buggy BETA browser version) http://browsehappy.com/

    (4) Are you logging in using the secure https:// log-in? see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

    Well glad to hear it looks good for others.

    (1) It has always worked fine from this desktop computer before…?

    (2)I tried both Chrome 22 and Firefox 14 with identical results.

    (3)Tried all that.

    (4)I am.

    All pages of the blog seem to have been effected. Even Dashboard/Admin pages.

    Sometimes that occurs when your internet service provider blocks the image servers on WordPress.com. Can you contact them and ask?

    I’ll give that a try. Thanks. Images in the posts show up fine, however. Would that rule out this explanation?

    This is something anecdotal but one of my blogs lost all its formatting last week. Before I could stop her, my daughter unplugged our wireless router and re-plugged it a few minutes later. I’m not advising this because I don’t know if she did anything else special or not, but that fixed my problem.
