  • Hey there –

Thanks for writing to us. Using a migration plugin will work but it has to be done as part of a business plan.

This plan will also connect your domain to our managed hosting environment. The plan does open up live chat access too, which you can select from https://wordpress.com/help/contact/

Since we offer managed hosting, that means that we handle all the back end details of the site. Things like back ups, updates, security, spam, seo, ssl, mobile optimization, top notch hosting specs, and sorting out any errors or bugs that pop up along the way. When you run a stand alone WordPress installation, like what y’all have set up, then all of those details fall on to you – so instead of being able to focus on content you spend a ton of time and frustration fixing these sort of issues.

All of our hosting plans are available on https://wordpress.com/pricing/ It’s possible to import all of your content and connect the domain with a lower plan. You’ll use the export/import process outlined below. Write back with more questions and I’ll be glad to work through those with you.
