Site being flooded with new (fake) members.

  Greetings,

  over the last few days, our site has been flooded with new members. All of the names are similar. Nothing else has happened yet but does anybody know if this is the precursor to something more sinister?

  We use the Membership 2 plugin should that make any difference.

  Any advice would be appreciated.
