Site Cancellation

    For over a year now I have seen that my articles do NOT show up in Google (or Smartpage, etc.) searches. I don’t mean my articles don’t show up on the first page, they don’t show up AT ALL!
    Question: Does WordPress take such actions? If not, is there any way that I can get my information available to the world again? Previously my site was read by ’81’ countries and coast to coast in the U.S. Plus my user count went down from over 200+ to under 100 for no obvious reason.

    NOTE: My site is flagged as ‘Public’.

    Can you help with my situation? Please answer…

    Many thanks for reaching out.

    We do not take such actions to block search engines from crawling the site – ultimately we are the behest of search engines in that regard.

    To understand more of what’s going on there, I’d recommend connecting the site to Google Search console as per these steps here: https://wordpress.com/support/site-verification-services/#google-search-console

    This might provide information as to how and what Google is doing there.
