Site content missing

    Hi,

    Our hosting expired and we didn’t know and now we have lost the website we took ages building, is there anyway we can get it back and link it to a new url?

    What is the URL of the site?

    Hosting cannot expire on WordPress.com, as it’s free, so it sounds like you were using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider.

    In that case you’ll need to contact that hosting provider directly to find out if they still have a backup copy of your site’s files on their servers.

    If they don’t, the only other possibility is that you might be able to find a cached version on the Internet Archive at https://web.archive.org/. Then you can at least copy-paste the content from there into a new site.

    If the archive doesn’t have it either, I’m afraid that content is now gone.
