Site Counter Gone Crazy – It Restarted

My site counter (counts the amount of visitors, it’s a sidebar gadget) was at like 850 earlier today and now it went back to zero.

Why?

Was this on your sidebar or in your dashboard? Because the one in your dashboard starts new every day at the same time at night.

The numbers in my stat counter in the sidebars in both of my blogs just plaunged. On Saturday they soared. Thus far we have not heard any clear statement with respect to what is going on but something is definately “going on”.
edit: and what’s going on is connected to tags – they are not available.

Not so sure about the tags connections… but your stats should be fine now or in the next few minutes.

if its for me the stat counter are back to normal today and the results same with the graph counter at the admin page (since i just started blogging so i can count it easily using calculator beside i dont get many visitors) :)

Stats seem a bit low for me today, but the real weirdness is when you try to dig into the details on the Top Posts, Referrers, etc. It only lists one or two for today, when I can see on the main stat page a half-dozen. I expect the fixing is ongoing.
