Site crashed after removing a page – HELP!
-
I have made a site with the Blocco theme (a grid of blocks) and added only pages. I then had a great site. I removed one page which I figured out must of been the first page and then the whole grid disappeared so my site was gone! I removed it as it had not /xxx name (so later I realized it must of served as the home in some way).
Most simple solution would be restoring the page ( I believe it was called Extra’s), but It’s gone (I needed the short cut so emptied the trash as well)
Now I already tried setting up the same site after buying the theme again but now after adding a few pages the home page still asks for a first post (but I do not want to add posts, only a set of pages). (this test is on souldelightfulsite.wordpress.com).Please help!
(the answer is NOT that the theme only supports posts in a grid as I had the full site working perfectly)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

OK I fixed this my self. The solution is strange: if you set Settings > Reading > Front page displays to
Static page and then set both Pages and posts to the same page (this can be any page) the home page will become a grid of pages instead of posts.
You just ignore the warning that says that the static pages (posts and pages) can not be the same. -
Hi there,
That is VERY strange! Thanks for letting us know the solution which you found. I’ll look in to it further!
