Site crashed along with login portal. There’s no way to get back in and don’t have hosting info.

    Site has had a critical error to the file structure (a stupid mistake on my part when updating parent theme). This has made it so that the site not only crashed but it eliminated the login portal to the dashboard also (since the child theme is trying to inherit a folder that doesn’t exist.

    As well, the owner of the site is having trouble finding any of the hosting info so that we can access its files. Is there a way to remedy this through WordPress?

    Please help!

  • Hi there!

    What’s the address of the site you’re working on?

    @frestomica

    Thank you for responding. The site is telosonline.org. I’m new to managing this site and to WordPress so I wasn’t aware there was a distinction between the two. So if my site has the .org extension, I’m assuming that means it is open source?

  • Hi there,

    Correct – your site is using the open source WordPress.org software and you need to seek help at these forums:

    These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. Since we do not have access to self-hosted WordPress.org sites, we are unable to provide any direct assistance to your issue. I would reach out to your site host for help.

    If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org you can read this document:

    Thanks!
