Site Critical Error after updating plugins

    Hi,

I have just been asked to help with the addition of a large number of products onto ITR’s website, and was configuring the WooCommerce Integration with Current RMS, which needed the site updating, which seemed to work fine after backups, so i then updated the plugins. All plugins had updated and then the Live Chat Plugin, which i believe is by Chaport said it had a critical error, and i could not disable the plugin, the site is now not accessible as it has a critical error?! i do not have login for PHP or FTP as the site was developed by an external company.

  • Hi there,

http://itr.co.uk/ appears to use the WordPress software and is hosted with another company than WordPress.com, which means we’re not your best point of contact for this. In order to get help with your website, we do suggest contacting either your host’s own customer support, or alternatively the community forums of WordPress.org:

To clarify, there are two ways to use WordPress, you can either use the WordPress software downloaded from WordPress.org onto a web host (also known as self-hosted), or you may host your site with us here at WordPress.com. For reference, you can learn more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:
    https://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

That said, if your problematic chat plugin is https://wordpress.org/plugins/chaport/ then it’s worth checking in with their support forum here:
