Site Deleted

  I went to my site and it says it is gone and ‘The authors have deleted this site.’ Anyone know why this would have happened?

  Hi,

  region47.wordpress.com was deleted by another user of that site (vstallone).

  Does that sound familiar? Come back to me if you have any concerns.

  Oh no! she probably thought she was deleting it from her own account and not the entire page. She was a volunteer who retired. Is there any chance of that being restored?

  Hi,

  I’m really sorry to hear that. I’m afraid deleting a site is permanent and once it has been deleted it, it cannot be restored.

  If you want to try and recover some of the content, the only thing I can really suggest is searching Google for ‘region47.wordpress.com’ to see if you can find any cached versions of the pages. Cached pages will show what the page looked like last time Google indexed them. So if it hasn’t indexed the site as being deleted yet, you might be able to recover some.
