Site deleted

My site…bingconsulting.org has been deleted. I did not delete but discovered this thinking it was set up on auto-pay and having not received a notice of concern. Can this be recovered? Please advise. Thank you. Bing

Hi there,
The WordPress.com site connected to the domain, bingconsulting.org, has not been deleted. (Incidentally, the WordPress.com site in question also belongs to a different account than the one you’re using to post here.)
But it appears that domain no longer exists. That domain has never been registered with us, so if it was cancelled or expired, you need to contact the domain registrar where you had that domain registered for more information on this.
It looks like that domain is currently available again, so if you still want to use it you should be able to register it as a new domain, either here with us on WordPress.com, or at another domain provider. If you want to register it here with us, I recommend you log into the correct WordPress.com site that owns the actual site first.

Thanks for your reply.
I wonder if you could check again on this. I am confused. WordPress is the domain provider that I used to create bingconsulting.org . It must have been deleted or it would not be available again.
I do not know where else to turn.

I can confirm that domain is mapped to a WordPress.com site but it’s not registered here. I can see another domain mapped to that site but not using our nameservers so you might be thinking about a site hosted elsewhere.
If you can reply from the account that owns the subscriptions, we’ll be able to give you more information. -
I thought that (email visible only to moderators and staff) owned the site. I was most positive.
The only other option would be (email visible only to moderators and staff)
The only other remote possibility would be: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
Does that help?

Howdy,
If you do not have access to that second account, here are a few options:
Account recovery overview – https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
Lost password tool – https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
Account recovery form – https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recoveryLet us know if anything is unclear or you have any further questions.

So I have gone to the account recovery site and keyed in the requested information.
In the box asking for validation using a past receipt or transaction # I went back into my emails and found a yearly account subscription receipt and entered that.
[redacted by staff]
The reply came back “this does not appear to be a valid receipt”. How can that be when I copied and pasted the exact receipt sent.
Help please.
-
Hi,
I have removed the transaction info from your post – these are public forums so it’s best not to post sensitive information.
The transaction ID you’ve used is 4 years old so our automatic system might have not recognized it. I have sent you an email with more information, please reply there if you need more help.
-
The reply you have given is for me to reset my password. I have already done this.
Could I please get some real help here?
I had a webpage….bingconsulting.org . It has been deleted. I received no notices about bills due or past due. I had it set on auto pay.
Can this be recovered? Please, can I get help here?
I provided a receipt with a transaction.

Hi,
So, here’s the situation:
You have two custom domains pointing to your bingsconsulting.wordpress.com site:
bingconsulting.org
bingconsulting.comThese domains are not registered with WordPress.com and, according to our records, never have been.
You have been paying WordPress.com for Domain Mapping upgrades.
https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/
Domain Mapping is the upgrade that you need in order to use a domain registered elsewhere with your WordPress.com site. You do indeed have auto-renewal set up. Domain Mapping for bingconsulting.org was renewed 2020-05-08 and Domain Mapping for bingsconsulting.com 2019-12-17.
However, and this is the crux of the issue, the domains themselves have expired at whatever registrar you used. Because of that, visitors to either of those domains are never going to be able to view your site. You will need to register those domains again, either with us or with another registrar.
-
For the moment, if you can reset your password for the account that owns the site in question, you can set your website to show bingsconsulting.wordpress.com as the primary domain for now while you sort out the custom domains. No, it won’t help people visiting bingconsulting.org or bingconsulting.com. But at least when you view bingsconsulting.wordpress.com, you will be able to see that your site data is still there.

OK….thank you….this is helpful
So I will re-purchase the domain: bingconsulting.org Then, if I understand you, the website content should be available again.
Am I correct?
-
Yes, with one caveat:
If you register the domain with another registrar (GoDaddy, Google, etc) you will need to make sure you update the domain’s nameservers to point to WordPress.com as detailed here:
https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/#change-your-domains-name-servers
But once you do that, the domain should start correctly pointing to your WordPress.com site within 24-48 hours (nameserver updates take time to propagate across the internet).
Let us know if you have any trouble.
