re: hacked accounts and blogs
If anyone is posting anything to your blog or removing anything from it, or changing anything in it, or if your blog has been deleted and you did not delete it, then it’s most likely that you have provided them with the ability to do so, either deliberately by adding them as official users, or by allowing them access to your login information, or by posting content that makes it easy for them to guess what your log-in information is.
For you the question that needs to be answered is: Who, aside from me, has access to my login information?
Go to your email program immediately and change the password to a very difficult one because that’s how many hackers gain access to blogs.

Change your blog password to a very difficult one > http://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#change-your-password
You can also reset your password via your Settings tab on the WordPress.com home page:
http://wordpress.com/#!/settings/Use a secure, encrypted connection to connect to your Dashboard. Under Users → Personal Settings, check the box that says “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages, and click Save Changes.
Use two step authentication http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/two-step-authentication/
Run a security scan on your computer.
Never leave your computer logged into your blog and walk away from it. Always log out properly.
P.S. Staff have records of who did what under which username and login information and when they did it. I flagged this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it. Note that there is a backlog and be patient while waiting.

Important note: Regardless of who deleted the URL, you cannot register any deleted blog URL. That’s because deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

How can I get the posts I made to that site back? The problem is not starting it over, but having it again properly. The URL, as you said, is not a problem, since I have the domain
-
You cannot “get back the posts” form wordpress.com as they do not retain it. You may be lucky enough to find cached copies in Google’s cache of indexed content. However, none of your content was indexed https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Asetelist.wordpress.com%2F&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 so that’s a no go for you.
-
This is completely absurd. How can you let years of blogging go to waste for not having security enough?
-
There’s nothing at all absurd about WordPress.COM not retaining copies of content in blogs that are deleted on their servers. https://en.support.wordpress.com/export/#backups
Deleting a blog is not easily done. https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/ It takes ignoring multiple warning messages stating the act is permanent and not reversible to do it. I’ve been here for over 9 years and I am shocked by how many blogs are deleted by their owners every day, and then I see the same party that deleted them trying to register the deleted blog URLs which is not possible.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/Lastly like I said above hacking doesn’t happen unless we do not follow security protocols. https://en.support.wordpress.com/security/

I didn’t receive any e-mails or warning about anyone trying to delete my page.
As you said, it was probably hacked.
“Staff have records of who did what under which username and login information and when they did it. I flagged this thread for a Staff follow-up.”
I’ll wait for this answer. You can check which ID was used too, then you’ll see that it was definitely not me.
