site deleted by authors

  A google search for evoligion.wordpress turned up a ‘site deleted by authors’ notice, but
  https://evoligion.wordpress.com/home/ still finds the site.

  As it happens, I, the author, can no longer edit the site, despite several years of communication with wordpress support, so I have duplicated it under another name which I can edit. I was about to ask how to cancel/eliminate/destroy/abolish/annihilate/remove/purge/flush the site (not just render it private) when this happened.

  What’s going on?

  How might I recover the pine-cone-on-granite-block image that first attracted me to the 2013 theme (which I a still using)?
