Site Deleted: what is happened?

  Dear WordPress Support Team,
  we had a blog ridgebackrescue.wordpress.com. It was s ite for ours rescued dogs and it was really great we have used it in the last 5-6 years. The password knew our three admins. But last week when I tried to log in came the message: the blog was deleted. It seems as it would have been deleted of one admin. But in this case we have to receive a mail: “You will receive an email with a confirmation link. If you are absolutely sure you want to delete your site, click on the link.” But I didn’t became a mail about deleting. Can you research please how its happened? Can you set back the blog perhaps? Or if it’s not possible, can we at least the old blog adress become again? Thank you and best regards: RR Rescue Team Hungary

  If you have three admins, one of them deleted it, or got hacked and the hacker deleted it. It’s possible, and unfortunately not rare, that one of them might have deleted it under the impression he was only deleting a single post. Talk to your fellow admins.

  I did it already. I didn’t deleted the site. The other admin didn’t do it too we was doing an other website of us at this time, together. The third admin wrote me a message that she can’t find the site, what is happened.
  And to delete a single post and delete the whole site it is not the same… we were edit the site since 5-6 years (and I have other wordpress sites too) I dont’t think that one of us can do a big mistake as it is.

  Someone did, though. Possibly, one of you has been hacked; this happens when a hacker gets into your email, then they can get into the blog by clicking “forgot my password” and get a new password sent to the email. Then they can do whatever they want.

  I suggest you all change your email passwords.

  I’ve tagged this thread for staff attention; they can tell which account deleted the blog.
