Site Deletion

  I have deleted a wordpress site (bethezekielcanada.wordpress.com). When entering this site address in a browser I see a message that the site is no longer available. Is there any way to not have this message appear? This site is now hosted elsewhere (not wordpress) and this is very confusing to potential visitors.

  I’m afraid there isn’t — this is the standard message we display for deleted sites on WordPress.com.

  This site is now hosted elsewhere (not wordpress) and this is very confusing to potential visitors.

  Traffic can be automatically redirected from an active (non-deleted) WordPress.com site to the new one with a Site Redirect:

  Redirect a WordPress.com Site Address

  However, there are a couple of things to note:

  1. bethezekielcanada.wordpress.com was owned by another WordPress.com account (you were a user not the owner)
  2. We would need to reverse the site deletion before the site redirect could be purchased — and that request would need to come from the site owner
