Site deletion
-
Hi!
I tried to delete my blog today. I received an email from wordpress to confirm and I did confirm the site deletion. Unfortunetly when I check my name on “ecosia” I can still see it. Could you explain me why, please? What should I do to make sure that nobody will find it? I can still log in but when I go back on my page on the dashboard, I have no access to the tools. Thanks for your help
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

re: username account https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/ecosia
Exactly which blog URL starting with http:// are you trying to delete?
Exactly which username account registered that blog?
To delete a free hosted WordPress.COM blog you must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered a blog to delete the blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click.

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

Hi there,
You successfully deleted the site that was linked to your account, but it won’t immediately disappear from search engines like Ecosia. Search engines take some time to update their search results, and WordPress.com doesn’t have any control over how long that takes. However, the site is no longer accessible so even if someone follows a link to the site they won’t be able to see it.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
