Site Deletion Recovery
-
Good day,
I deleted off my account completely. I then tried to create the same site using a different account and it gives me other site name suggestions.
How long do I have to wait to use the same name on a different account?
It’s the free site so has a certain name as the subnet.
The blog I need help with is jerryohaz.wordpress.com.

Hi there,
If you want to start over on your site with the same site address, you should not delete the site. Deleting the site does not free the site for reuse, but rather purges it so that neither the owner or anyone else can ever use it again. This can be reversed within 30 days of the site’s deletion, but after that time, there is no way to get the site back.
You will need to first recover the account and the site:
https://wordpress.com/support/close-account/#account-restoration
https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/#reverse-a-site-deletion
I can email the address connected to that account to confirm ownership and then restore both the account and site for you assuming they were deleted within the last 30 days.
Then, you’ll need to transfer the site from your old account over to your new account in order to use the site there:

Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
