Site description in Google and Facebook

    Please help. I can’t seem to find any information on how to get the description of my website to show up when I do a google search for the site or when I share the url on Facebook. When I type hcmbeat.com into the google search field I get the message ‘A description for this result is not available because of this site’s robots.txt’ and when I post the url in Facebook I get ‘This is just a short excerpt about your blog.’ I’ve added descriptions and excerpts to the pages so I can’t figure out why they’re not showing up properly. Is there any way I can actually pick up the phone and call someone from WordPress to get this resolved?? I feel like I’ve been running in circles for days.
