site disconnected and cannot reconnect

I’ve used wordpress for many years for an elementary school website and it unexpectedly disconnected and now when i try to login to the wordpress site, i no longer have access. I reset my password and got access but my site is not there! can someone offer some advise? I would love to talk to a live person but don’t have that option here i guess. thanks!

Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
