Site Domain Alias as temporary use

    Hello, I have a website domain that is currently in use as a Shopify store. I want that domain to be used for the new WordPress site once it launches in a few months. Is it possible to temporarily use my other domain to create a new website, then once it is ready, map it using your primary domain?

    Hi! Sure thing. Your current site can stay “live” until your new one is ready.

    I do recommend getting a plan earlier on if you’ll need it, since they have other features you might find useful, including direct support:
    https://wordpress.com/plans

    Then just avoid using the domain options until you’re ready, and then you can connect or transfer the domain.
