Hi. I’m confused. Our site, http://www.idealerestaurant.com, is already hosted by WordPress….

  • Hi @artistontherun, it seems to be hosted by another hosting company, using a copy of the free WordPress software. The free software is different from our hosting service, and it can’t control your PHP version, but it can let you know when something’s wrong.

Can you contact your hosting company about upgrading PHP?

Once you’ve fixed your WordPress installation, we’d be happy to help you import it here so we can take care of maintenance and support for you.

I am actually inquiring about my business site, http://www.Idealerestaurant.com. Thank you!

  • Hi there,

Your site idealerestaurant.com is not hosted by us here on WordPress.com. It uses the WordPress.org software and appears to be hosted by either Siteground or Google Cloud.

While both WordPress.com and WordPress.org share the WordPress name, they are two separate entities. WordPress.com is a hosting platform, while WordPress.org refers to the open-source WordPress software that can be installed on any host, like the one your site is currently using.

To get the most appropriate help for your issue, please contact your hosting provider. Also, the official WordPress.org support forums are a great place to get additional help.
