site down and access lost
-
My WordPress website was hosted by a freelancer who I can’t get hold of. My website is now down, I can’t login to WordPress Admin or access my e-mail accounts. Are you able to help me get back into my wordpress Admin account to access mybirthbox.com / co.uk and is there anyway to transfer my website and e-mails to another provider without having the details from my current provider I can’t contact??? Thank you, Emma

Hello,
I have verified that your site is not hosted on WordPress.com. In this case, you use the self-hosted version, the software of which is available on WordPress.org.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org sites are different. Check it out: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org.
This forum is only focused on sites hosted on WordPress.com.
You can contact your host directly for help with your issue. I can see through ICANN that your domain is hosted by Godaddy. Try to get them.
The WordPress.org community forums can be an excellent place to ask for help with this: http://wordpress.org/support/forums
The “DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN” error is a domain name resolution error that occurs when the system cannot find the IP address corresponding to the domain name you are trying to access. This means the DNS server could not find a record for the domain you are trying to access.
There are several reasons why this error could occur, including problems with the DNS configuration, issues with the DNS server, or problems with the network. In some cases, the error might be temporary and resolved after a few minutes, while in other cases, you might need to make some changes to your system configuration to fix it.
If you are experiencing this error, some things you can try include:
- Restart the modem/router
- Clear browser cache and data
- switch browser
If none works, you may need to contact your hosting provider or network administrator for additional help.
I hope it helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
