Site down, dns issue
-
The original ED of our group started this site and was the person who registered the domain. He recently stepped down. We are getting a DNS message and I see that wordpress asked him to verify something, but it went to an email address he no longer has access to. He tried to log in to the WordPress account, but is locked out, so can’t update his email address to get that message. Ultimately, we need to change the domain registration to me so I get those messages. How can we get this fixed? Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @cccpgvdir, that’s not fun. We’ll need to help you gain access to the account, then you can update the email address.
Is the old owner still able to log in, and if so could they update the email address on file to match yours?
Or, do you have a transaction ID for your last renewal? If you do, update us here and we’ll email to get it privately. You can use the transaction ID to gain access to the account, so don’t post it here for others to see.

Unfortunately, he can no longer log in, both of the other administrators are locked out for some reason. I can still get in to my account.
He looked to see if he has some record of the domain purchase but could not locate anything.

@cccpgvdir Whoever paid for it can log in and look at their credit card or bank statement for the purchase date. Then they can use these steps to get the transaction ID:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/transaction-id/#if-you-dont-have-access-to-the-receiptOnce you have that, update us here and we’ll email so you can send it privately.

He found the transaction confirm for the gunsensecc domain registration. I can forward to you.
