Site down due to plugin upgrades.

A site I manage just went down after upgrading my plugins. I have WooCommerce plugins on the site and this seems to be related to the issue. I can’t seem to login anywhere. Do I just need to deactivate all plugins, and if so, how do I do this without having access to the admin dashboard? I’m not familiar with php code either. Any help would be appreciate, thank you.

  • Hi there,

Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. We’re only able to help with sites hosted on our servers at WordPress.com.

When you try to visit your site you should see an error message with a link. That link goes to the WordPress.org support stage that explains in detail the steps you can follow to deactivate your plugins via your hosting account instead; you can contact your host directly for help accessing the tools mentioned there is needed.

And for more help with the version of WordPress you’re using, you can ask the WordPress.org community who make that software at https://wordpress.org/support/forums

If you think the issue is being caused by a specific plugin, you can also contact support for that plugin directly. For WooCommerce, for example, you can find their forums at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/
