Attempts to load my site as well as attempts to access my control panel redirect me to a page with the following text:
“bnbhiouchi.wordpress.com doesn’t exist
The address bnbhiouchi.wordpress.com cannot be registered. Sorry, that site is reserved! But you can sign up and choose another one.”The site had been up and running for about five years. I didn’t see this glitch coming. Seems a number of folks on the forums are currently dealing with sites suddenly going down. Is anyone also dealing with no access to their control panel?
Any advice on the site’s disappearance or protocol to access my CP would be greatly appreciated.

I see the problem you described.
bnbhiouchi.com was expired in last May and is related to the problem other users are discussing in the forums. Since this domain expired about 3.5 months ago, it costs $80 redemption fee to get it back to your account. Let me know if you would like this domain back, so I can send the manual payment form to you.
However, It is weird that you are seeing “The address bnbhiouchi.wordpress.com cannot be registered. Sorry, that site is reserved!” error.
Also, your site is accessible at riverhousehiouchi.wordpress.com. You can get to its dashboard by logging in to wordpress.com and clicking on My Sites at the top left.
You also have other domain connected to riverhousehiouchi.wordpress.com. You can make that domain as your primary domain using this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#setting-the-primary-domain

Hi Chiat. Thanks for the reply and information. Will paying the redemption fee get my site live again? I’m not sure I ever received an email alerting me to the end date, but in any case, yes, I would like to redeem the url and get back live! What is the next step?
By the way, when I search the whois database it looks like I own the bnbhiouchi.com url still (into 2017). However I still need to pay WP annually, yes? This, in effect, is a fee to use the WP control panel/editor. Is that so?
And lastly, besides riverhousehiouchi.wordpress.com and bnbhiouchi.com, do you see other domains linked to riverhousehiouchi.wordpress.com??

There’s nothing you need to do yourself. We just need to wait to hear back from the registrar. It typically takes 24-48 hours. But can be longer over the weekend.
