The account you are currently logged in to doesn’t own any upgrades. Can you confirm the URL of the site you need to renew? Once I know for sure I’ll see what I can find.

Now I’m getting a message that the subscription owner needs to renew the subscription. I’m almost positive I did this last year so I’m not sure who the “owner” is.

When I sign in it says my site is on a Premium plan and set to renew July 2, 2018. I can’t figure out why it’s showing we aren’t due for renewal until next year, yet our website it down because it expired?

Thanks for confirming. The plan and domain mapping upgrade for harmonyschoolsc.com are currently owned by two separate accounts:
- The domain mapping upgrade is owned by harmonyschoolsc
- The plan for harmonyschoolsc.com is owned by harmonyevents
Ideally the plan and domain mapping upgrade would be owned by the same account.
The plan includes a domain credit which can be used for domain mapping. This means the two upgrades can be bundled together and there won’t be a need to pay a separate domain mapping cost.
Would you like one account to own both upgrades?
Let me know and we can look at the next steps.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. Yes, I would like one account to own both upgrades. I’m not sure which account needs to be the owner…whichever one will get our website back up. I am unfamiliar with “harmonyevents” and not sure if I have login capabilities for that.

Well I think therein lies the problem – I’m not sure who the owner is. This website was set-up by parents of our school over 10 years ago and as the admin of our school for just over a year now, I’m not sure how to resolve this. I thought I had renewed it last summer (and it says due for renewal 2018) so I’m not even sure which site I had renewed if our main site is now showing expired. I am (email visible only to moderators and staff) I would like to either make this owner or (email visible only to moderators and staff) the owner. Either one will work. Thank you so much for your assistance with this.

Yes, that’s correct. The plan is not due for renewal until 2018 — it was renewed from the harmonyevents account. Was this payment made using your card?
I’m not even sure which site I had renewed if our main site is now showing expired.
Domain mapping was purchased for the same site but expired because it is separate from the plan — which has been renewed.
Your account can be the new owner of these upgrades. If you are happy for me to, I can email the current owner and ask if they would like to transfer ownership of the upgrades to your account.

What can be done if the original owners cannot be reached or if the email addresses are no longer valid?

I’ve contacted the upgrade owner and I’ll let you know if I receive a reply. If I don’t, you will need to wait 2 weeks before you can purchase domain mapping from another account on the site.

We do not know who originally purchased the plan. I purchased the domain many years ago and transferred it this weekend to WordPress. Am trying to help them get it back up. Very frustrating process. Can you help? I am working with Jen Peterson, school administrator.

I purchased the domain many years ago and transferred it this weekend to WordPress.
I can see harmonyschoolsc has been able to renew the domain mapping upgrade for harmonyschoolsc.com and the domain is working as expected. If you visit harmonyschoolsc.com you should now see the site.
harmonyschoolsc is the owner of the site as well as the domain mapping upgrade. However, they do not own the plan.
I’ve been speaking to Jen about the plan but I’m waiting to hear back at the moment. I appreciate you want to get everything sorted out but we need permission from the owner of a specific account or upgrade to make changes.

I found the “owner” and they paid for the domain mapping renewal. So what is the last step we need to do to switch this owner over to myself? I would really like to avoid this happening next year at renewal time.

Please ask harmonyschoolsc to login to their account and reply here to confirm they would like to transfer ownership of the domain mapping upgrade to you. Once they’ve done that, I can move the upgrade over to your account and you can manage renewal payments going forward.
If they would also like you to take ownership of the site itself, they can also make that request at the same time.
