Site glitch or bug

  Hello, I published a blog an hour or so ago. People liked it, and then now it’s gone. It is impossible that I deleted it as I was away from my computer when it happened. I really hope there is some way of retrieving my blog as I spent many hours of time on it.

  When I click on the link I had for it, it says the page no longer exists. Also, my stats are not updating.

  I hope there is a solution to both of these problems and that I’m helping to improve the site.

  What IS the link for it? Does it show on your dashboard Posts page? Did you create it with the Classic Editor or the New Editor?

  Use the Classic Editor. In my experience the New one loses posts in this fashion.

  It isn’t anywhere on my dashboard, and I believe I used new editor. But the post disappeared while I wasn’t tampering with it.

  Yes, this looks like the New Editor bug. I’ll flag this for staff attention.

  According to your site, the post was published at 1:30 AM on October 24. (Your site is currently set to GMT time, which you can view and change under Settings > General in the site’s dashboard.)

  That is so odd, that is a different blog I wrote with the wrong URL. Is there anyway to access past versions of what used to be attached to that link?

  Hi there,

  You can find past versions of the post by checking the post’s Revisions in the classic post editor. You can copy the post content from there and paste it into a new post.

  Sometimes a post can get overwritten like that if you publish a post and then start a new post without clicking the new post button, or if you have the first post open in the post editor and then start a new post in a new tab in your browser without closing the first one.
