Site Hacked
-
Hi, my website https://totsbabyshop.ie was recently hacked and malicious files added to my public_html. These files were added since the last WordPress (and other) updates and I am reaching out to you to see if any other customers have had similar issues.
With regards, Geraldine

Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your website. However, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
With that said, carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures and start backing up your site.
Your hosting provider’s support team may also be able to assist.

Sorry to hear it! I recommend getting in touch with your host to ask about backups, then secure your site so it’s safe:
Going forward, for help with the free WordPress software itself, you’ll also want to use the correct forums for self-managed installations, at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Or you’d be welcome to move your site here after regaining access. All of our plans include SSL hosting, maintenance, and security. And paid plans include direct support. You can learn more here: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
Cheers!
