  Hello,
  I thought wordpress would be a safe place?
  My site has been hacked by TIGER HeX. I’m devestated. So much work lost. What is the lack of security here?

  That’s terrible! I’m so sorry for your lost work. :(

  It seems that your site is hosted by 1and1, is that correct? If it is, then your site is not hosted with WordPress.com, meaning your site security will also not be handled by WordPress.com.

  If your site is hosted by a third-party host then the forum to best get help will be: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  If it is hosted with WordPress.com then we can get the staff directly involved.

  swidel.com uses WordPress.org software and is hosted by 1&1:

  https://www.whoishostingthis.com/#search=swidel.com

  Therefore you will need to contact your host or post to the WordPress.org support forums advice. If there is a recent backup, you could also restoring the site from that:

  https://codex.wordpress.org/Restoring_Your_Database_From_Backup
