Site Hacked? Some Weird Stuff Is Happening To My WordPress site…

    Dear WordPress,

My website is not appearing as it should when I visit the site online vs. the web admin editor.

It looks like my theme, ‘pachyderm,’ was switched to an earlier theme I first used when I joined wordpress…

I noticed this because got a call from someone that said my website must be hacked because it is re-directing traffic from his website to my site, then to another site, and he is losing $10,000 almost a day in sales because of it…he said the FBI is involved…!

Now, when I make changes to my website in the admin panel of my site, hey are not reflected on the web…instead…a much older version of my website is up…also…in the last three days or so, the number of views on my website has oddly increased by 400% with no good reason, or explanation…

    I need help…

I want to make sure my website is safe and serving me well with information I can accurately update and see changed immediately.

I have tried everything I can possibly think of to fix this situation…and nothing is working.

    WordPress…help!

    Yours,
    Word Press User

Hey there, you’ve posted your question in the support forums for sites hosted on WordPress.com.

Your above site tonimikulka.com appears to be using the standalone WP software and is hosted by CloudFlare. If you do a Google search on your domain, it has been tagged by Google as “may be hacked”.

You can get help for your self-hosted site over at https://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums, you’ll need to register one there. You can do so by clicking the Register link in the upper right corner of that page.

WP and WPcom are separate entities; you might want to read this support doc to understand the differences: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
