Site hangs on entry

Add topic to favorites
The WordPress site hangs upon opening but then works correctly after being refreshed.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m not having any trouble loading up https://ox3com.wordpress.com/. Are you still seeing this issue? Does it happen from other internet connections? How much will load before it hangs?

I use IE-11 and auto-open 7 tabs on start-up. Every one but this one loads up fine. This one just stalls but loads when I press refresh. The error message is the standard “connection issue”.

Do you have it setup to open WordPress.com or another specific URL to your site (ox3com.wordpress.com/wp-admin for example)? If you could provide the exact URL (including whether you’re using HTTP or HTTPS) that would be helpful!

I do have it set to open on

It continues to hang. I wonder if this could be due to an IE setting?

I just tried setting up the auto-open on both Chrome and Firefox on my side. It seemed to work each time. When you refresh the page (and the website loads), are you still logged in to WordPress.com or do you have to login again? I’m wondering if when you close IE, the cache clears causing some kind of weird issue with login.

I wonder if it was a result of using “Delete browsing history on exit” in the Internet Options under Tools in IE v11. I cleared that selection and things are working so far.
