Site has broken links and look has changed

    Greetings!

This morning I logged into pepperforthebeast.com to show my friend a page on my site, and while I could load the main page, all the menu items (Blog, FAQ etc.) would pull up an error message (Not Found [CFN #0005]). I first made sure I was up to date on my URL payments (all current) then went into my WordPress back end to see if I needed to do some updates and maybe that’s why the links weren’t working. On my dashboard I updated to the new WP version and then I also updated on the themes that I was prompted to. When I rebooted, my website had lost all of its original visuals: the font, background photos, etc, were gone. And the links all still gave me the error message. Help! What have I done? And can I regain the visuals I had before as well as the functionality of the links? On the back end the data for the linked pages is all still there. Thank you.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Just to confirm, are we looking at pepperforthebeast.com or uweeye.wordpress.com (or are they one in the same?).

You mentioned updating your themes and WordPress core, as far as I know WordPress.com automatically keeps these things updated for you. Are you using a self-installed copy of WordPress from WordPress.org? Or is this website through WordPress.com?

Have you tried going to Menus in your dashboard and recreating the menu links?

Thanks for responding! It’s just pepperforthebeast.com–not uweeye which is an old and retired blog.

When I log on to WP, it’s .org not .com.

I don’t seen a tab named “Menus” under Dashboard–should I be seeing one?

Actually, let me clarify on WP. When I log in, when I click on the WP icon in the upper left, the menu lists wordpress.org under About WordPress. I just assumed mine was .org. How can I confirm?

WordPress.com sites will have wordpress.com/therest/ofthe/sitefolders in the address bar when you go to the admin page. If the site is a .org version it would just be pepperthebeast.com/sitefoldersetc.

If this is a .org site then you should move this post to the WordPress.org support forums for further support. Here’s some info regarding the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org.
