There is no domain mapping upgrade for liberaal-groen.nl/ here at WordPress.COM. If you would like to use this domain to map to from your blog at http://liberaalgroen.wordpress.com/ you will first need to set up domain mapping.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins (passwords), features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here first please http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ and also read Important Notes Before Upgrading https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#important-notes-before-upgrading

    re: mapping an existing domain
WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers but mapping an existing domain is possible.

Domain mapping of an existing domain URL that you already own and purchased elsewhere is not done free of charge. You will have to renew the domain name purchase where you made, it and the domain mapping purchase here, each and every year.

Mapping an existing domain costs $13. annually and a domain name purchase and domain mapping are included in the Premium upgrade bundle.

In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com sub-domain blog to map from and it does not matter what that underlying .wordpress.com URL is. It does not have to match the domain URL.

If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the WordPress.COM blog, and as you own a domain URL already, you can see here for mapping an existing domain. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

It can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

Your name servers do not seems to be pointing to WordPress.COM

    Please review: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

Also check with your registrar about the name server settings

It also might be that you need the staff to add a zone record, I have flagged this for the staff to help

    Hi there,

You have a domain mapping upgrade for liberaal-groen.nl, but that domain isn’t pointed to WordPress.com. That means when you visit http://liberaal-groen.nl/ or https://liberaalgroen.wordpress.com/ you will be redirected to where the domain is pointed now (a different web host).

Right now, your domain is using these name servers:

    • dns1.movenext.nl
    • dns2.movenext.net

To use the domain at WordPress.com, your domain needs to use these name servers:

    • NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

Your domain registrar (where the domain is registered) can help you change your domain’s name servers if you’d like help with that step.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

There is a misunderstanding I think: this is about http://liberaalgroen.wordpress.com/ and not liberaal-groen.nl

please check because of this distinction. http://liberaalgroen.wordpress.com/ should be hosted by wordpress, but isn’t at the moment

    Hi there,

The site https://liberaalgroen.wordpress.com/ has a domain mapping upgrade that links it to the domain liberaal-groen.nl, so the two addresses are connected here at WordPress.com.

The domain liberaal-groen.nl is the primary domain on the site, which means when you visit the address liberaalgroen.wordpress.com you will be redirected to the domain liberaal-groen.nl. Since that domain isn’t pointed at WordPress.com, you won’t see your WordPress.com site no matter which address you visit.

If you want to use the address liberaalgroen.wordpress.com separately, so you can see your WordPress.com site at that address, you can change that on your My Domains page. You can select liberaalgroen.wordpress.com as the primary domain. That way, when you visit liberaalgroen.wordpress.com you will see your WordPress.com site (without being redirected to the other domain).
