Hello. I was switching from WordPress to Squarespace and made the transfer fine, but I was not aware that I had to import the content from WordPress to Squarespace and now I can’t access my dashboard anymore to do it myself, manually. Please help.

    Hello there,
    We need details please.
    1. What is the domain URL?
    2. What is the underlying .wordpress.com URL?
    3. Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.com blog and purchased the upgrade for it?
    4. When was the upgrade purchased?
    5. When did the refund request and upgrade cancellation take place?

I will type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Please subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond and be patient while waiting. Hi,

    1. http://www.thecurvyedit.com
    2. I do not know this.
    3. I’m not sure what you mean. This is the only account I have and site.
    4. No upgrade. Just switched to Squarespace, but I didn’t know that before the 24 hours passed I had to import the content from WordPress to Squarespace. I thought it was automatically done with the domain transfer.
    5. I don’t think this applies.

  • Hi @hilmarief, this site isn’t hosted on our servers, so I don’t know whether you’ll still be able to export items. You may need to work with your host to be sure. But once you can access your old admin area, you can create the export under Tools > Export. Be sure to import completely before removing your old site. Good luck!

They told me to download through FTP, and now Squarespace won’t help because they don’t upload through FTP.

  • @hilmarief if Squarespace can import from WordPress.com, you could import here, then export, then import there. Not sure if that’ll work for you. You might ask them what format they want.
