  Hi there!, I have been trying to set my website icon without success, any advice / help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  Hi @sportingperu,

  You can set a site logo and icon by going to Appearance → Customize → Site Identity, as outlined here: https://wordpress.com/support/site-logo/#adding-your-site-logo

  Yes, I followed the outlined instructions but no luck….

  Looks like it works when I type the default WP web address http://www.sportingperu.wordpress.com but it does not work with the domain name http://www.sportingperu.com which points to http://www.sportingperu.wordpress.com

  Not sure what is going on…

  Your free site’s proper site address is sportingperu.wordpress.com, without the www.

  It looks like sportingperu.com is registered with Netfirms: https://gwhois.org/sportingperu.com+dns

  If you’re trying to change the site icon for that site, you’ll need to login to /wp-admin to do this.

  If you are looking to use this domain with your WordPress.com site, you can do this with a plan upgrade by connecting your existing domain to WordPress.com.

  It’s worth noting that a new annual plan purchase includes a one-year free domain registration. You can use this to transfer your domain to WordPress.com, extending its expiry by a year.
