Site Icon can’t be changed or uploaded

  Hello,
  I’m trying to upload my first site icon onto my new wordpress page, and I keep getting a red error saying ‘a problem has occurred click the image and try again’ and I can’t figure out what’s going on. I made sure the image file is the right measurements 512×512 and the extension for it is a JPG to match the other two image files. Can I get some help? It’s just not letting me upload a personal site icon.

  Hi sabrinawaller37,

  There seems to be an issue with setting site icon via Setting -> General

  Why don’t you try the following path to set your site icon:

  Customize -> Site Identity

  It should work without a hitch.
