Site Identity on pages without Homepage Template

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello!

I assigned the homepage template to the front page of my website with only the hero title and the hero content displayed because my site identity and tagline are the same. However, now that I turned off the display of my site identity and tagline, nothing appears at the top of any of my other pages. I don’t want to assign the homepage template to all of my other pages, so I am wondering if there is some way that I can display the site identity and tagline only on certain pages or if there is another way to display text on the header image on certain pages. Thank you!

    Hi,

One way of accomplishing that goal would be to place a check where you evidently previously removed it from in the box labeled “Display Site Title and Tagline” at Customize > Site Identity, save the change, and then use Custom CSS to hide the title and tagline on the homepage.

I’m not familiar with CSS customization coding so I can’t help you with that, but if you’re interested in this option then you may either wait for someone to respond here with a suggested code, submit a separate request to the CSS Customization forum, or add a “modlook” tag to the tags in the sidebar at right to call for Staff attention.

Thank you so much for the help! I am also not familiar with CSS so I will go to that forum. Thanks!
