Site Inaccessible
-
Good afternoon.
Although I can see that the JetPack folder has installed itself in my self-hosted WordPress, when I go to ‘connect to WordPress.com’ I get a ‘HTTP 403 – site inaccessible’. Are you able to help with this urgently? Thank you.

I spoke to soon, after I cleared my browser cache I could see http://hermelness.com/ working.
Jetpack uses the xmlrpc.php file to communicate with your web server. When I tried to open your xmlrpc.php file, I saw this error, “Access Denied You are not allowed to see the page. If you have any queries about this error, please e-mail (email visible only to moderators and staff).”
http://www.hermelness.com/xmlrpc.phpCan you please contact your web host and ask them to help you make sure the xmlrpc.php file is working?

I’m terribly sorry, but your host (namesco) blocks the xmlrpc.php file.
There isn’t much we can on our end since your host is blocking the file and requiring that it be renamed. If the file is blocked, Jetpack won’t work, and if the file is renamed as suggested by your host, Jetpack won’t recognize the file.
My only suggestion would be to switch hosts (which is pretty drastic) or wait to use Jetpack until our developers can work something out with your host.
