Site Index and Domain Mapping not shown successfully
-
After successfully adding my domain to my wordpress blog, I checked for my site’s index and received the following message: “Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.”
When I checked my domains in Dashboard, it correctly lists handmaiden.org
Please advise how to obtain the domain mapping upgrade and sitemap index.

Howdy,
It looks like the site is working correctly. When mapping a new domain, it does take a few minutes for everything to sync up and sometimes the browser can cache the error message longer than it should.
If you’re still not seeing your site, can you empty your browser’s cache and try again?
Your site’s sitemap will be at http://handmaiden.org/sitemap.xml (to submit to Google and other search engines).
If you have any other questions or need anything else, please let me know. Cheers!

thanks. I cleared my cache and still have the same message. But at least I see that the sitemap has been generated. I’ll use it to submit to other search engines. I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to use the forums and to actually have someone answer my questions. I wanted to center my logo, went to the theme and found the answer in CSS. So cool… especially since I’m just about 63. WordPress CAN teach an “old dog” new tricks! :)

Hi Mary,
It’s possible too that your computer could be caching some of the information (in addition to the browser). It *should* empty those caches automatically. I’d expect by now you should see it as well. If not, I can provide some instructions on how to clear those caches too.
That’s great to hear! We (staff and volunteers) don’t always get to every question posted in the general forums (though we do answer everything submitted directly to us, like this post), but we try our best!
Cheers!
