Site is no longer accessible…

    Just got a notice from my jetpack scan that indicates my site is down (www.trippingwithbill.com). There have been no changes to the site recently and when I log into WordPress, it lets me know that the site is not accessible. I’m the only one managing/editing the site. Any ideas on what steps I should be taking at this point? Although I have used WordPress to publish my site, I would count myself as a WordPress novice. Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

    Followup to my original note about my site being down… Here’s the error:

    Internal Server Error

    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    Checked the various things – whois, fatcow, etc. – nothing untowards happened until Jetpack relayed that the site was inaccessible.

    Final followup… Just discovered what I believe to be the problem – the PHP version was automatically updated by the hosting company and it appears as though the jetpack/wordpress was not at all happy with that! I manually updated the PHP version to an even newer version (7.0) and everything started functioning again.
