site is reserved?

“The address [my username].wordpress.com cannot be registered. Sorry, that site is reserved!”
Since I signed up my account some time ago, I suspect that I reserved the site but cannot remember. How do I find out if I reserved it, and if so how can I start to use it. (This was triggered by my need to try videopress for a website.)
Thanks. -
When we register a username account the matching blog is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username account.
If and only if you have the matching username account then the blog is reserved for you and you will be able to log in appropriately and register it after logging in under the correct username account.
https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/?user=1However, if you changed your username then the blog URL will not be available for use under the new username account.

And by the way, thanks for the amazing speed of response. Speedy, helpful and accurate, I’m impressed.

I have a similar issue…. I am trying to signup growitmedia.wordpress.com, but it says:
growitmedia.wordpress.com doesn’t existThe address growitmedia.wordpress.com cannot be registered. Sorry, that site is reserved!
The only thing I can think of is that a previous employee for my company registered it, but did nothing with it. Is there any way I can gain access to this account or otherwise use the name? It is for the company I work for with that exact name.

Your problem is NOT similar it is identical and my answer provided to ejsimmons it is the same for you https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/site-is-reserved-3?replies=7#post-2185445

Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and associated email address. The blog owner can transfer ownership of the blog to another username account http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account Otherwise you cannot obtain the reserved blog URL. Sorry.
