Site is super laggy recently for editing/posting

  Whenever I try to make a new post, or edit an existing one, the site hangs and flashes for usually 60 to 90 seconds before I can start typing (or anything I type will be deleted once it stops flashing). This never used to happen before, but it appeared about the time I got the notification for new media options. Can I go back to the old version with less options LOL? Also, I get the notification of the media thing every time, and I keep clicking ‘got it’, but it comes back every time I try to post. Any way I can keep it from reminding me every time? Thanks!
