  I have a website that I would like to connect to a different email address but am having difficulty doing that.

  Hi,

  Have you followed the instructions in the Update Email Address support page? You may assign any active email address that you have access to as your account email address, except one that is already in use on another WordPress.com account.

  If you want to use an email on account B that is already the account email address on account A, then you’ll have to change the account email address for account A to free up that email address for use on account B.

  Hi there,

  Are you trying to change the email for the admin user account on a stand-alone WordPress site, or are you trying to change the email on a WordPress.com username account?

  If it’s here on WordPress.com, can you tell us the site URL/account username for the other account? The account you’re using to post here has never owned any sites with us, and it’s difficult to give you an accurate answer if we don’t have all the relevant information :)
