site issues – can see it online but not there when i log in
-
I can see my site online ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’. I can log in – but I’m not sure they are the same site as none of my posts are there, it is totally empty! I was paying a small annual fee for hosting & whilst I have not used the site in a while I assumed payments were continuing. I cannot get help via the site as I cannot get past the AI bot. Ho do I resolve this issue? Is there an email I can write to??
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have already logged out twice and restarted, tried iPad & laptop and it is not resolved unlesss I am mising something. I will try to explain again – if I google ‘wordz2go’ I can locate my blog & all old posts can be viewed. If I click the WordPress W at top left of the blog & log on I see nothing. I cannot see why this is & its very frustating, my poetry is out there but I cannot edit or add to it. Thanks

how? I have one logon and password, so if I log out and use the same info to log in again it takes me to the same empty blog. I have now tried three times
-
You have 2 wordpress.com accounts: wordz2go240318 and wordz2go.
Log out from wordz2go240318 and log in again with the username wordz2go.

Is there anyone else that can help me?
This is very frustrating :(
I keep being told to log out of one account and into the other BUT I have a record of one username (email address) & one password – so when I log out and reuse these details it is only getting me into the empty account.
A password reset based on my email also only gets the same empty account . HOW DO I GET THE REIGHT ACCOUNT OPEN AGAIN??????? I am not getting anywhere and do not know where else I can get any help from.

There is no point resetting the password for the wrong account.
You created the account https://wordpress.com/forums/users/wordz2go/ in 2014
You created the account https://wordpress.com/forums/users/wordz2go240318/ in 2018
Log out from this account completely. Log back in with the username wordz2go and whatever password you always used when accessing your site in the past.
At some point, you may run into a situation in which you’ve lost access to your account. This guide will explain the steps to avoid getting locked out and how to recover your account if you cannot log in. Determine Where Your Site Is Hosted Before you follow the instructions below to recover your account, verify that your site is hosted through WordPress.com. You can use our Site Profi -
Magic robot – thank you for reply. The 2018 account was made erroneously, I do not even remember doing it & I do not know how to delete it but it is causing me a huge headache. Yes, I can log out of it BUT as explained above both accounts are linked to my one and only email address so doing a password reset only does nothing – when I try to log into the 2014 account using the same email & the new password it is still only opening the erroneous site !!!!! Are you a site moderator? Can you delete the totally empty 2014 account? Its the only way I an think to resolve this.
I had this same issue once before and I was able to email someone who helped me but this appears not to be the case any more & I cannot get past the AI chatbot
-
And – its so long ago that my original account was set up that I do not have a transaction ID or Activation URL to go through the Account Recovery form route
-
What if I log back into the erroneous account using the only info I have & delete it. Wait a day or so then do a password reset using my email – will this then get me back to the old site??
-
No it won’t.
Note that each account requires a unique email address so the 2014 account must have been created with a different email address to the one you are cutrrently using.
-
It was originally different – but I had an issue logging in previously, emailed someone and they updated it to my new email – which is the only I have that is active and accessible – so is it worth trying to delete the empty account?? I no longer have access to the old email.
-
It appears the the empty account is a free one – but the proper one I paid for annual hosting – I cannot get help on it as the chatbot only sees the free account so I cannot get a ‘happiness engineer’. Hence I am very unhappy.
Logging out is insufficient to resolve this

You don’t need an email address as long as you remember the original password. Username and password works for me. I wrote my password (for here and a few other places) on a piece of paper and taped it to my fridge so I never encounter these issues.
