Site Keeps Going Down
-
Hi All,
The site’s http://www.broad-peak.co – and for some reason (and i think it’s only on chrome) it just randomly stops working. It will go down for awhile and then start working on it’s own again. But it happens frequently enough to be a major issue. It’s hosted on wordpress.com but i got the domain from GoDaddy.
Any ideas?
Thanks everyone.

Will you please clear your browser cache first https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
I suspect you are using Chrome. Exactly which version of Chrome are you using? Check here please http://supportdetails.com and report back.
I typed modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help. I cleared the cache. Didn’t work. Thing is what about other people? I can’t ask them to clear the cache and update chrome (mine’s updated).
This is the error I get:
The server at broad-peak.co can’t be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website’s name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Google Chrome from accessing the network. Thanks

broad-peak.co is set as the primary domain for broadpeakpk.wordpress.com and will appear in the address bar when you visit the site.
Invalid Nameservers
Your domain is set up with the following name servers or their numeric equivalents:
NS1.MULTI.NET.PK
NS1.WORDPRESS.COMIn order for your domain name to work at WordPress.com, you should remove the above nameservers and add only the ones listed below.
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMNote: Removing nameservers can cause things like email or other custom setups to break. Please consult with your current hosting company or registrar before removing DNS entries.
There is information on how to set up domain mapping in our support documentation. http://en.support.wordpress.com/add-a-domain/
Please be patient while waiting for Staff assistance.

Hi there! As timethief pointed out, you have conflicting name servers, which is causing this issue. Please log into your account with your registrar and delete any name servers with ‘multi.net.pk’ so that you only have these three:
- ns1.wordpress.com
- ns2.wordpress.com
- ns3.wordpress.com
-
Thanks everyone. According to people who are helping me with it all, if they remove the multi.net.pk name servers then we’ll have issues with our emails.
There’s also a certification error if https is used where “The identify of this website has not been verified”.
I’m sorry if that is not relevant to the first question – but all of this is very new. Never had such issues before.

Hi there! Usually your email host will give you MX, CNAME, or A records that we can add instead of the name servers.
As for the https error, we do not currently support SSL certificates for custom domains, so that is expected.
You can contact your email host and as them for the DNS records required for your account. If they just tell you the name servers again, please ask specifically for their MX records.
