Site labelled as unsafe
-
Hi, my website is mainly used as a portfolio for job applications, and a recruiter I interviewed with said when she tried to reach the site she had a pop-up saying it was unsafe. I gather that is has something to do with the SSL certificate so I went to upload a plugin for it but I do not need a business account just for this. When I looked into it further I saw on wordpress’s FAQ that all wordpress sites should automatically have this installed, so I am not sure how to go about fixing this – this site is my only way of showing potential employers my work expereince so it is important there are no bad impressions surrounding the accessibilty of my wordpress site – Please help!
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi! You should indeed have SSL built into the site you listed.
Do you know which page gave your recruiter an error? Do you get the error, too?

Hi sorry for the delay, the error message does not show up for me (maybe some particular security settings for thier company computers?) The page it is happening on is the main homepage, it seemed to also happen after clicking a hyperlink with this url in it that is located on my digital resume.

Just to make sure we’re on the same page, you’re having this problem on the site
nainsight.wordpress.com?If so, please provide the full URLs you’re seeing this error message so we can take a closer look.
If that’s not the correct URL, please provide the URL of the site where you’re having this problem and we can better advise.
Thanks!

Thank you for confirming. I’m not able to reproduce this issue on multiple browsers and multiple devices; when entering the URL using
httpit is automatically redirected to thehttps(secure) version of the URL.It sounds like the recruiter’s company network is blocking URLs or not properly routing
httpURLs tohttpsas they should on a normal browser.I would recommend giving the recruiter the full URL using
httpsand it should load properly for them.Alternatively, you could remove the password requirement from your portfolio as most job seekers’ portfolio sites are public.
